The Evening Room

Designed as a dedicated retreat for unwinding at the end of the day, this living room was reimagined to support slower evenings and shared family time. Previously lacking focus and cohesion, the space felt dated and underutilised, with no clear sense of purpose. The brief was to modernise the room while creating a calm, comfortable environment centred around watching films together, a space that felt considered, inviting and effortless to use.

A soft, neutral palette forms the foundation of the scheme, layered with subtle accents of colour to add warmth and personality without disrupting the sense of calm. Bespoke joinery introduces structure and storage, framing a textured fireplace wall that anchors the room visually while discreetly integrating audio-visual elements. Adding cornice moulding and carefully planned lighting bring depth and softness, allowing the atmosphere to shift easily from day to evening. With a busy family and limited time to oversee the process, we managed the installation in full, ensuring every detail was resolved seamlessly. The result is a refined, yet welcoming room designed for relaxed evenings, shared moments and quiet immersion, a space that now fully earns its place as the heart of family downtime.
